What if you could build something great, something that would last forever, something that would change the world? A cathedral, a bridge, a monument – something that would help people, serve them or inspire them to greatness! Would you do it? Would you choose to do it every day, whatever the cost?
At World Youth Day Toronto in 2002, Blessed John Paul II challenged the young people of the world to rise up as a new generation of builders, who, driven by love for God and His people, would “build, brick by brick, the city of God within the city of man”. The movement of Catholic Christian Outreach began under the influence of Blessed John Paul II’s cry for a New Springtime in the Church, fueled by Catholics who seize their baptismal identity and live for the proclamation of the Gospel message! As missionaries with Catholic Christian Outreach, we share this desire of Blessed John Paul II – to see the world renewed for Christ! By sharing the Gospel on university campuses across Canada and forming young people as leaders for the renewal of the world, CCO missionaries echo the heart of Blessed John Paul II and seek to be these builders. What if you could build something great, something that would last for eternity, something that would change the world? What if you could build the city of God within the city of man? Would you do it?Tags
